Question: Torchwood question!.!?
I am new to watching and still getting to understand it!.!.
I know Jack can not die!. and that he is from the 51st century and that he met the doctor and Rose during world war 2, BUT how did he get to world war 2!.!?
also in the eppisode where Rose brings him back to life after she looked into the heart of the Tardis and they left his on that ship, how did he get off it and go farther back in time to when he first started working for Torchwood!.!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I will do my best to answer this until someone far more knowledgeable than me (e!.g!. Spacephantom) does!. Ahem!.!.!.
I believe Jack got to WWII with his wristband time travel device!. How he got a whole Tula (sp!?) spaceship with him as well beats me!. In the episode "The Doctor Dances" he says that he was a time agent (I presume that is how he got his wristband time travel device), but he lost 2 years of his memories (so he presumably left the agency)!. He goes on to state that now he is a confidence trickster, grabbing spacejunk and trying to sell it to anyone who will buy it by pretending it is valuable!. He takes their first instalment and then - whoops! - the "warship" or whatever he was pretending it was gets blown up by a WWII bomb!
Jack gets off the TV station after being brought back to life by again using his wristband teleport device!. He tries to aim at 21st century earth as he knows the doctor goes there, but misses by about 100 years and has to lurk around Cardiff hoping to hear the Tardis dematerialising (he chose there because the Doctor refuels the Tardis there from time to time)!. I won't tell you any more as it will all become apparent as you watch series four of the new series!.
As I think about it, the wristband must be a time AND space travel device!.
