How is Big Brother US different from Big Brother UK?!
Question: How is Big Brother US different from Big Brother UK!?
I have never seen a Big Brother from the UK, I have seen all 10 of them from the US!.!.!. if you have seen both of them how different are the two!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

well, the UK's tasks are MUCH better!. also, the actuall big brother plays a larger role!. ( hm's actually go into the DR and talk to av voice "big brother", while in the american version, the big brother (voice) does not really play a part, you really only hear him to tell the hm's to put on their microphones)
i think one of the main differences is that the BBUK housemates are not allowed to talk about evictions or nominations, so there are no allies, or anything of that nature!.
also, nominations/evictions are different!. the UK BB has the all the housemates nominate, the the public evicts by phone, and NO veto, but the american one, a (single) housemate nominates and all hm's evict; plus there is a veto!.
in BBUK, the past 8 seasons there has never been a head of house, however this season there is an HOH position!. their position does not have as much power as the american counterpart!. what the UK HOH does has changes weekly (however, up to now, they always get a position in heaven), everything from deciding what side of the house gets a treat (ei!. alcohol) or from who gets into heaven!. (this year in the BBUK house, to make things more interesting, the house has been split up between "heaven" and "hell"!. as you may assume, "heaven is just generally a better place to be, with better food, beds, sometimes they get special gifts such as alcohol or music, and they get to sleep in longer!.
lastly, in the BBUK the food is set up differently, there is no slop!. they only get a "luxury" food budget, or a "basic" foor budget!. the "luxury" budget gives them more money, so they can buy more (and better) food!. in BBUK all the hm's get the same food budget!. in BBUSA, half of the house gets (what seems like unlimited) food, while the other half gets "slop"!.
OH! i totally forgot about evictions! BBUK's evictions are a million times better the american version!. in BBUK, they hm's leave on a "ramp" with a huge crowd who boo, or clap!. the "ramp" then goes into more of a carpet (red carpet idea) with a photographer section etc etc!. ( all with tons of fans who are cheering/booing) --- while the USA version is SUPER boring!.!. where the hm just walk out and talks to julie chen-bot!.

(the other answerer brings up a good point: the american version's housemates are a lot more borring/cliche/ un-original!. and they're the same type of people every year!. and the UK hous seems to have a lot more fights!. for example, in BBUK, this year there is a blind person!. 2 years ago there was a guy with tourettes (he won) and the same year, a guy with royal connections and one year there was a tranny (who also won i think))Www@Enter-QA@Com

In big brother UK the public have all the power, the housemates each nominate two people and the public then vote out one of the nominees (the people with the most nominations)!. also, housemates are not allowed to discuss who they are nominating and are very likely to be voted out if they are seen to be playing a game, again very different from the US version!. There is no POV competition either and the food competition is just a task to see whether they get a luxury shopping budget or just a basic one (no housemates on slop!.) The tasks are more fun in the US version also (in my opinion)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
From what I am able to tell while watching it on-line, the UK contestants are far more active (getting into fights and spitting in each others face, claiming you are a child care provider and then dancing around like a topless ballet dancer, saying I am going to have my terrorist friends pay you a visit when we get out of the house, etc!.)
The american version has been lowering its number of contestants each season graduallly as they have discovered that most of their demographic viewers loose interest as the season goes on for too long!. American contestants seem to be chosen in a far more formulaic manner as well!. Cliche hell-raising women with social issues, two or three hunks with attitude problems and a few lovable stupid people that you just don't want to see get voted out!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I watched like the first six episode of bbUK this season and i have watched all 10 bbUS seasons!.
BBUK seems to be a lot more interesting!. they have the fans involved a lot more (not to mention it's raunchy`er) they have a bigger diversity of house guests on UK, like a cross dresser, blind man, they even had a littler person on bbAUS!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
