How is the game played on Big Brother TV show?!

Question: How is the game played on Big Brother TV show!?
Answers:
Well, I've only watched BBUK and BBUS and they each work a bit different!.

In BBUK, there are I think about 16 houseguests (housemates - HMs) at the beginning!. (Sometimes they add more later!.) Every week each HM nominates 2 people for eviction and then the two people with the most votes go "up for eviction"!. Then the public votes which of those two HMs, they want to evict from the house!. Sometimes there are more than 2 people up for eviction!. It keeps going until there are 4 people left and then the public votes for the winner, who gets !.!. I think it's 100,000 Pounds (or maybe it's 500,000 !.!. I don't remember)!. HMs are not allowed to tell each other who they voted for or who they will vote for!.

The other part of BBUK is the shopping/food task!. Each week, BB gives the HMs a task or a series of tasks which they must complete in order to get food!. If they complete the task, then they are given a budget of 5 Pounds per person per day, a "luxury budget"!. If they fail the task, then they only get 1 Pound per person per day, a "basic budget"!. Then they have to order food from a food list!.

In BBUK (at least this year), if the HMs break any house rules, they will either be sent to "jail" (a small room outside in the garden) for a certain number of hours or they will be removed from the house, depending on how severe their rule breaking is!.

BBUK also has tokens which HMs can buy with their budget!. One token will give them 24hrs of hot water (for showers, etc) or 1 hr of hairdryers, curling irons, etc!.

------------
OK !.!. now on to BBUS !.!. which I prefer!. In BBUS, they start with 13 HMs!. The first thing that happens each week, is that there is a "head of household" (HoH) contest to determine who will be HoH!. HoH gets their own room in the BB house and they get to nominate 2 people for eviction that week!. Everyone competes in the HoH competition except for the person that was HoH the week before, so you can't be HoH two weeks in a row!.

After HoH, there is the food competition!. All HMs are divided into 2 teams and they compete against each other!. The team that wins this competition gets to eat regular food!. The team that loses has to eat "slop" for a week!. I don't know exactly what "slop" is, but I think it's similar to oatmeal, but with extra vitamins, etc, so they don't starve!.

Then there is the "Power of Veto" competition (PoV)!. Only 6 people compete: the HoH, the two nominees for eviction and 3 people who's names are drawn from a bag!. The person who wins PoV has the power to save someone from eviction nomination!. If someone is saved, then the HoH picks a new person to be up for eviction, along with the person who wasn't saved!.

Each week (and sometimes twice a week, if it's a double eviction) all the HMs vote for which of the 2 people nominated that they want to be evicted!. The nominees don't vote and the HoH only votes if there is a tie!. Unlike in BBUK, in BBUS, HMs ARE allowed to talk about who they voted for and who they will vote for!.

BBUS is played until there are only 2 people left!. Then the last 7 people who were voted out (the jury) vote on who the winner should be!. The winner either gets $1,000,000 or $500,000 (I don't remember!.) and the 2nd place person gets either $100,000 or $50,000 (again, I don't remember and sometimes they change it)!.

--------------
The shows are called "Big Brother" because there are cameras and microphones everywhere and anybody with a computer can sign up for the "24hr feeds" where you can watch the HMs at any time!. The HMs have no privacy, although they never show them in the toilet unless there is more than one person there or if they aren't "using" the toilet!. Other than that, we can watch everything!

Hope that explains it for you!Www@Enter-QA@Com
