Question: Thoughts on the New LILY on ATWT!?
I am undecided!.
Im not sure if its that I was so used to Martha Byrne (although I think her best work was on the Lifetime movies) or if its that the new Lily seems to always be tryign so hard to believe what she is saying and the lack of any spark at allll between her an Holden!. I mean, I know the couple is having trouble but it seems like they dont even like to be acting with each other in the same room - and that feeling was still there when they were kissing and supposed to be wanting to be with each other !.!.
anyway, as I type !.!.!. I dont think I care for the new Lily!. What about you!?

The writers replaced Martha Byrne with someone who has a completely different personality!. She just does not seem to fit the part and I know it is hard to fill other peoples shoes but they really missed the mark big time!. It would be like trying to replace Nikki on Y&R with Taylor on B&B!. Martha Byrnes had such a spunky personality and she had more intense expressions!. This new Lily does not have the charisma nor the chemistry with Holden, I agree with everyone!. But sometimes we the viewers have no control over this and she will have to grow on us!. She is slightly getting better than when she first started and growing on me slowly!. But all in all she will never be able to replace Martha to the fullest!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I happen to like the new Lily, she seems to be very different than the old Lily, but I think they have written her a little differently!. I don't know if Martha Byrne would have invited Carly to the lingerie store and tried on something sexy, seeing that the old Lily character struggled with weight issues and diet pills!.
This new Lily is a little more sassy!.!.!.and a I like that!. As I look at Martha's website http://www!.marthabyrne!.net/ I wonder why the stylist didn't have her looking more like this on the show!. That's a good look for Martha!. I miss her, I just hate that Martha wouldn't take the deal they were giving her!. I miss Martha Byrne! I agree with you the new Lily just does not fit right!. She tries way to hard and her and Holden do not have the chemistry at all!. It's also the way she reacts to things the old Lily would not have acted that way! I just can not get used to her, after watching Martha Byrne for so long!. To me that would just be like changing Reva on Guiding Light it just would not be right!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I have to say Martha Byrne as well !. I have never like Noel beck in any show she has ever acted in !. she was doing bit parts in other shows at times and she did not really fit in there either you know !. so now bring back martha please !.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I like the old Lily!. More chemistry between her and Holden!. I just don't feel that with the new actress!. (But she is pretty good)

I think the actress who now plays Lily, Noelle Beck, is a good actress!. The problem is that they have written this character completely differently now that she is on the soap!.
Can you imagine Martha Byrne in these scenes acting and reacting the same way!. I'd be SO FURIOUS with Holden for sleeping with Carly (and mad at Carly too), but since Martha isn't playing Lily, I'm not really as mad!. It doesn't come off as such a betrayal, it's like it is a completely new character!.
I wish Martha Byrne were still around, but I am almost glad that we don't have to see her in this current storyline because I feel like Lily has been through so much, and to see the "real" Lily go through this would have been heartbreaking!.
That said, I hope she comes back very very soon because the show has not been the same since she left!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I didn't care for the old Lily!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.especially in the last 1 1/2, because the writers made her weak!.!.!.and stupid, they took a perfectly fine character and ruint her, so!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.at 1st I didn't like the new Lily, but she's grown on me, a little to sex craved in the beginning, but now she seems to have settled in with the character, and I wish she would've mowed over Carly with her car, I can't stand the skank at all!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
