The official word from the programme's producers (ITV Yorkshire) is that Carol Vorderman offered voluntarily to take a 30% pay reduction!.
The programme producers rejected her 'voluntary offer' and insisted that she should take an 80% reduction on the ￡1000,000 per annum salary that she draws for her appearancers in the show!. The nett result was that she walked out of the studios because she wasn't prepared to appear for such a low salary!.
Personally, I'd be happy to have the remaining 20% of the million! On ￡200,000 per annum, I think I'd just about scrape by!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
