It's passable, but not as good as I had hoped!. It hasn't actually been canceled - it's only been moved, but it's been moved to what is considered a "death slot", so it's anticipated that it won't last and it's numbers were down last week!.
I do like the fact that the plot lines are balanced!. I'm disappointed in the fact that they have such a great actor as Jack Davenport and have given him a phony American accent!.!.!. I *love* his voice and it just sounds so *wrong* on this show!. It's the first thing I've ever seen him in where I didn't particularly like him!.
All-in-all, though, I'm hopeful it will make it and that they'll have time to develop the characters and the story lines a bit more, but it's probably an unrealistic hope!.
And, just as an FYI, while the characters in this show probably did so, not all of us take vows to "forsake all others" or "cleave only unto!.!.!." It's likely these characters did, as it wasn't as common in the 70s for people to write their own vows as it is now, but today marriage vows are more conscientiously taken, and not all families fit into the old, restrictive, serial monogamy mold!.
Some of us believe that having diverse relationships modeled realistically on TV is a good thing, especially for our children!. And the conflicts that these families have to sort out in making the choices they make, and having to manage the consequences of those choices are pretty realistic and very responsibly portrayed IMO!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I REALLY, REALLY LIKED IT!. However, you are right, the show is getting cancelled!. That's why it's moved to Fridays now!. They want to give Flashpoint the Thursday slot for more exposure!.
I wasn't really sure if I would like the show, because honestly, I hate sex scences, but the sex in the show is like almost always implied!. I like the show because of the stories whithin the story, like the girl with the drunk mom or Laurie with the teacher!. Just what we needed, a program to show our youngsters what some of us think of the holy vow's we take in marriage!.
