Question: Doctor who's companion!?
If you could choose any celeb in the world to be the Doctor's companion in doctor who !.who would YOU pick !?!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I wouldn't choose a celeb as such, I would just make sure it was a good actress!.
I tend to think that when somebody who is already a celebrity becomes the Doctor's companion, it results in too many preconceptions about the character they will be playing, and often detracts from the enjoyment of a certain section of viewers who can't rid themselves of those preconceptions, no-matter how good the character or the performances are!.
That happened to a certain extent with Billie Piper, and to a larger extent with Catherine Tate!. With Tate in particular, despite her absolutely fantastic dramatic performances in the series, some people just couldn't forget her comedy characters enough to give her a fair chance!.
So I think I would rather see somebody new to the series, who has good acting ability, but relatively little celebrity status, or perhaps somebody who has already made their mark in one of the Doctor Who spin-offs!.
I would really love to see Yasmine Paige who plays Maria Jackson in The Sarah Jane Adventures becoming the Doctor's companion, and she'll be 18 by the time by the time series 5 starts filming, so you never know!.
In "Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead" it looked very much as if Steven Moffat was setting up Professor River Song (played by Alex Kingston) to be a future companion, but from his comments in a recent interview that might not actually be the case!. He said "The Doctor will certainly see River Song again, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the viewers will"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think she's a great actress, she was brilliant in Hex and I think she would be a perfect, quirky kind of companion for the Doctor!
