Question: GH fans, is Maurice Bernard leaving GH!?
The writers have cut his role to nothing!. If he's even shown, it's usually for 2 or 3 minutes tops! Have the characters put his character in an impossible situation!? If viewers no longer want the mob theme and Laura Wright doesn't look right with him and Sara Brown's character shot his son so no hook up can happen, what is left for him!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think Maurice is way too big of a charachter to have let go!.
I am just waiting until he's back in the mob or controlling something else!. He has money and he wants power, so I don't see him going away anytime soon!. He may be on the backburner until the wedding is sorted out!. Right now, between that pair, Kate has the airtime!.

They could bring Brenda back OR he could become a mob boss again OR both!. I don't think he is leaving the show!. He might take a vacation to his island or something but he will be back and I don't think he will sit back and let someone else run the organization for very long!. I hope so!. Sonny has run his course imho and the mob story is boring!. I don't think he's leaving though, in soaps characters become front burner for awhile and eventually their story tetters off into almost nothingness!. it's just a trend!.

If he is, good riddance!. He never should have been the focus of the show to begin with, and his usurpation of that role is what has dragged GH down to unprecedented levels of suck!. His age isn't the issue -- his ego and his abilities are!.
Let's start with the ego: This is a man who has freely admitted to deliberately tanking storylines he didn't like by making bad acting choices on purpose so the audience would clamor for a change!. It's one thing to go to the writers and fight for the integrity of a character; it's quite another to deliberately do your job badly until they give you what you want!. He's completely unprofessional, yet his diva-like behavior was catered to for years, even as ratings took a nose dive!.
Now for the abilities!. He *says* he only acts badly when he disagrees with the writing, but how are we supposed to tell!? I haven't seen a compelling scene with him in it in!.!.!. well, ever!. The jazz hands, the stuttering, and that smarmy shiteating grin are just a few of the many tics that he falls back on in lieu of real acting!. Have you noticed how he never looks people in the eye!? His inability to connect with his scene partners not only makes him look bad, but it makes the whole scene fall flat!. Now, I'm not completely heartless!. I do know about his bipolar disorder and the affects that the medication has on his ability to emote, and I can't imagine how hard it must be to realize that the thing that keeps you sane also takes away your ability to do the thing you love, but!.!.!. the fact is that the man just can't act anymore, if he ever could!. There must be plenty of things he still *can* do, so why not choose a different path instead of continuing to phone it in every day!? He's becoming the William Shatner of daytime and it's just painful to watch!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
