It's never too late to begin watching Soap Operas, I guess, but you will be coming into a lot of different story lines!. You've already been given the main characters, so I won't repeat them but I just say"go for it" and begin watching and enjoy!!! I also agree with the person who advised you to begin watching "The Young & The Restless" since that is becoming interesting especially since they now have a magazine in the story line and the magazine has its own website!!!! You can get recaps on many different sites--you can find them by searching each soap!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
the main characters are Vikki , Star, Todd, Cole, Blair, Dorian!.Jared, Clint,Bo, Nora, Lindsay, Jessica, Natalie Jared pretend to be a Buchanan and he was found out!. Starr Is Pregnant and it is Cole's baby!. Todd Starr's dad wants her to stay away from Cole!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I just started watching a couple months ago along with All my Children, because they play at night on the soap net!., and I was bored with my usual soaps on CBS!. I just started watching and once I became familiar with the characters I would look them up on wikepedia and it would pretty much fill me in on the character past and present!. It was worth it they both are good shows!Www@Enter-QA@Com
One Life to Live is one of my favs!. My suggestion is to go on a site such as abc!.com or one of the soaps!.com sites and read up; you may get some questions answered!.
However, its set in Landview, PA, and the main family is the Buchanans-- essentially everybody's been married to everybody of course!.
Its really getting good now as there are a couple of old characters that have returned!. Carlo Hesser has come back as one of the other character's father; and Tina has returned!. She's Vicki's half-sister, and of course Todd's half sister!. She's also Sara's mom and was married to Cord (who by the way is a hottie) and also has a son named CJ - named after clint who was Cord's dad!.

Starr is pregos and shes Todd's daughter and Blair is her mom Cole is her baby's daddy and Langston is her BFF and Dorian is her Aunt and Abbie is her Granny Todd has Cole's would dead mom in his house (Marty) John was with Marty before she died!?!?!? and he vowed to take care of Cole and Nora is his Gaurdian and she is dating Clint but has a son(Matthew)with Bo!.!.!. and thats all i know i really watch GH and sometimes watch OLTL!.!. It's never too late; I'm just getting into it myself, even though my mom's been watching it my whole life!. I think the best way to get into a new soap is to dive right in without doing any 'research' beforehand, so you get a feel for the characters without biasing yourself!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The best thing you can do is to go to www!.soaps!.com the website gives past episode info, lists of characters, spoilers, comings and goings, recaps etc!. etc!.
