What does the title "Swingtown" mean?!

Question: What does the title "Swingtown" mean!?
Answers:
In the 70's b/c of the invention of birth control woman and men became more active with there sexuality!. Free love was a concept where having sex was a way of saying hello!. -I admit I borrowed that definition from Steve Martin's bio so hopefully I won't get sued for using it to explain here!.
Anyway a married couple would swap partners with another married couple both would have sex!. Thus the start if of the term Swingers!.
The show refers to one couple that is changing another couples view in this concept!. While the comedic point is there is one couple who are not swingers still trapped in the 50's like marriage!.
Freaksly enough I saw last year on the Oprah that there are still swinging couples that still exist!. They looked like ordinary people too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Someone with a lot of sexual parters, or someone who swaps partners, is said to be a "swinger"!. In the 1970's there were supposedly a lot of people adopting "swinging" as a lifestyle!.

So in the TV show we see an average town, and in the town are people who are swingers - hence "Swingtown"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

First of all, free love was more a 60s concept, which is when the birth control pill appeared!.
I lived through the 70s, and, believe me, this was not going on in the average suburban neighborhood--because that's exactly where I grew up!. (My father did have a friend with a crazy wife who got into swinging for a while, though, come to think of it!.!.!.)
I do like the show, though--I enjoy the whole 70s atmosphere with 8-track tapes, the clothing and furniture, etc!. Brings back memories!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
