I watched the first 4 episodes to the drama, but missed the final episode :((((((

Ben was found guilty and sentenced to life!.
Hooch his cell mate got the impression off Freddy Graham that he knew Ben was innocent so he threatened his life by strangling him to get him to talk!. Then he wrote it all down and gave it to the guard to pass on to his solicitor!.
Because of what he did Grahams pals killed Hooch with an overdose!.
It turned out that the real killer was the witness from the petrol station, he was the one who committed the other murder that night and Mel had witnessed it and he was following her, that's why she told Ben she didn't want to be alone that night!.
Ben was released and it ended with him watching the football and The Jam's, Town Called Malice playing, the same as it started!.

Basically, he got put in prison for a life sentence!. However, some time afterwards Francis found new evidence about another murder the same night!. He was then freed, but he had already filed a bad conduct form or something!.

if you mean the one about the young lad called Ben that was sentenced to murder for killing the girl who got in the back of his cab!? he got off because the police inspector knew someone else killed her but framed the young man!. he had a cctv of the real killer but didnt tell anyone!.
