We know from pictures taken during filming that David Tennant is in the next episode, and also has filmed the Christmas special, so they must find some way around the regeneration scene without him changing!. One rumour I've heard is that the regeneration is botched or partial, due to the Dalek's beam hitting him with a glancing blow rather than full on, and that something decidedly odd happens instead of the Doctor changing his form!.
This "regeneration" scene certainly makes it obvious why Tennant has been so tight lipped about whether he's staying on as the Doctor or not!. He obviously wanted people to think the Doctor might really change, so as not to spoil the outcome of the story!. Thanks to the power of the Internet though, we know he doesn't!. Is it good or bad that we obsessive fans can find these things out so easily these days!? You decide!.
It was also reported yesterday in the Edinburgh Evening News, and the Scotsman newspaper's web site, that the BBC are about to offer Tennant a ￡1!.3 million deal to stay on as the Doctor for series 5 in 2010 (see link)Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think the 1 second lapse will come into effect, things like that don't get introduced unless they play a significant part, jack will use it to arrive 1 second earlier to prevent the dalek firing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
