Question: On CSI, do they have real actors play the dead people!? Or are they models!?
I was watching CSI, and the dead people look so real!. Are they actors/actresses that don't move or breathe, or are they models!? :S

It's a mix!. They often show brief scenes of the victim's life, so they need actors!.
To do the not breathing part, you tell the actor to "hold" and they hold their breath for 30 seconds or so!. For a longer scene, the torso has a shield to hold the sheet immobile and the actor breaths under it!. A bit of padding to hold the head stable, a brace so your feet don't flop, and a camping foam pad for the gurney and you can be reasonably comfortable during a scene!.
The "flip back the sheet" scene almost always has a cut in it !.!.!. the early scene is a dummy under the sheet, they swap gurneys for the one with the actor, flip back the sheet, ID the corpse, cover the face!. Cut away from the actor and he can breathe again!.
They use "moulage" (fake gore and wounds) on live actors, some very realistic imitation body parts for closeups, and I have heard, but not confirmed, that they also have the cooperation of some hospitals for some of the anatomy parts!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
