Question: Doctor Who fans!.!.!.can you answer me this!?!?
I used to watch the program when I was young and the Daleks fascinated me!. I've always wondered about the difference between a blue, a black and a red Dalek and why some Daleks had suckers and others claws and why their 'death rays' were sometimes like gas, sometimes like rays!.
I realise that they are ficticious but I've never had an answer to these questions since I was a child!.!.many moons ago!.

It's something to do with hierarchy among the daleks!. The regular black daleks are like soldiers or drones and then the coloured ones are higher ranking!. One of the best stories to watch in this regard is probably "Remembrance of the Daleks" where you had the imperial daleks (the white and gold ones) waging civil war on the renegade grey daleks then Davros popped up with a supreme special weapons dalek which was pretty impressive too!. So with the different dalek factions, they sort of evolved differently and added different weapons to their structures!. Davros was constantly seeking to improve them as well and make them more deadly!.
