Warrick Brown's character will not return in Season 9, since Gary Dourdan and CBS could not come to terms on a contract!. As a result, in the Season 8 finale, the undersheriff shoots Warrick in the neck and chest while he is sitting in his car, and then leaves him to die from his wounds!. It is unknown as of yet whether Warrick will actually die, but Carol Mendelsohn has said Warrick will be back in the fall and "not just in flashbacks!."Www@Enter-QA@Com

yeah, according to TV guide, he's really not dead, at least not yet!.
but, he did not renew his contract, so he's not coming back to the show!.
