Question: Why did Michael E!. Knight allow himself to gain so much weight!?
Tad Martin (Michael E!. Knight) is one of my favourite character actors on All My Children!. He gained a lot of weight and not over a long period of time!. He used to dye his hair which looked great, & now he's wearing it salt & pepper!. For a nice looking man, I think he's let himself go!.In the scene where Jesse was trying to rescue Angie from the helicopter, Tad could barely run up those stairs!. Jesse is approx!. the same age as "Tad", so I won't use Tad's age as an excuse!.!.the problem is his WEIGHT!. Why do you suppose Michael E!. There can be many reasons for the weight gain!. I didn't know he went thru a divorce,,,if he is on anti-depressants, some of them will put the weight on you!.
His metabolism could have slowed down with age, or it could be a thyroid issue!.
He is just such a total sweetie, I'll always be his fan !
I didn't like him letting his hair go gray, it really ages him, but I'm slowly getting over that, too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Why are viewers so fixated on the way an actor looks!? People naturally gain weight once they hit a certain age; some people are luckier than others in that area, so it's unfair to compare two actors regardless of how alike they are in age or other background!.

I know!He used to be attractive,it's a shame,but he's human like the rest of us,and soap actors don't have the same pressure on them as Hollywood film actors and often look more like real people than other types of actors,from primetime or movies!.It's no big deal to color your hair though!.Ronn Moss is the same on B&B,he should color his hair!.It's really aged him to let it go grey!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well in the last couple of years he went through a divorce, that could make a man turn to food! Bu, I think he still looks wonderful! I do wish he would dye his hair but he is so lovable and sweet! I dont care, he is still a cutie!Www@Enter-QA@Com

As a person who has been many weights, I can tell you that he knows he gained weight but it isn't his focus!. Stess can put wieght on very fast!. So can depression!. Having gone through a divorce myself, I can tell you, it is stressful and depressing!. You don't really think about the weight!. You just feel sad and have no energy!. You don't care if your hair is salt and pepper and you really just want to do what you have to do and then go home and escape!. A lot of guys watch sports!. If he is a beer drinker, that will put on weight also!.
The thing is, he doesn't need people to point out these things, it only makes him feel worse!. He will snap out of it and then he will do what he feels like doing!. Don't worry about Michael, he seems like a nice person, so I'm sure he has friends who will support him and encourage him!. But for you, why don't you focus on his work and less on his looks!. He is still a great actor!. We all get older, if we live long enough!. So, one day, it could be you people are saying these things about!. Never say never!.
