Are soap serials good entertainment or just pastime?!
Question: Are soap serials good entertainment or just pastime!?
I am a housewife and like to watch hindi serials daily!. Is it a valid complaint that these serials have nothing new to offer and they show women as devious and cunning!?
If these serials were about honest women, will they be just as entertaining or will they be boring!? Do their eye-caching sarees make the serials more enjoyable or would anyone prefer to watch those characters in plain sarees!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

hey it depends what kind of a person u r!.!.!.would u rather watch something that tells the whole story in 2 hrs, like a movie or watch it for 20 mins on daily basis!? I personally believe soap serials are very good entertainment only if u don't start comparing to ur own life!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
From entertainment point of view they look and sound good for women, but in fact there is nothing of value in these serials that can seriously be retained in the mind to be used in practical life apart from the dresses and makeups!.
Further I also have noted that physical abuse of characters in form of slapping is common!. This will in a way encourage people to accept this kind of behavious as common!.
All in all i call them "Slap Soaps"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Both but more of pass time!.Some of the serials like Ba,Bahu does have a moral in it ,some are entertaining like Comedy shows whereas some are good for increasing your G!.K!.
The soap operas are a bore as they get prolonged too much specially Balaji Telefilms,they just go on and on but the thing is that once you start seeing it from the beginning then you cannot give up half way,its more of addictionWww@Enter-QA@Com

That would depend on the soap opera!.
Days of our Lives has been considered good entertainment for most of it's 42 & 1/2 years!. (I say "most" as there have been times that even a hardcore fan such as myself has been unable to watch)!.
A lot of soaps are watched out of pure habit!.!.!.!. though Days is not one of them!.!.!. in my opinion!. ;)
