I think you are wrong about BSG coming back there is only one more episode where the 5th will be revealed!. I kind of had the feeling that they were going to find a destroyed planet!.
I answered a question like this and got best answer because I gave two scenarios 1 They find earth and it is back long before Christ and they teach our ancestors about hera, zeus ect!.!.!. or 2 they would find a planet destroyed, probably by a war similar to the one they had been fighting with the cylons!.
