Can one try out for American Idol in more than one city in the same year?!
Question: Can one try out for American Idol in more than one city in the same year!?
Does anyone know if American Idol allows a contestant to try out in one city and if they don't make it, try out again in a different city, all in the same year!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes I think so from watching past seasons I remember the judges saying didn't we see you in!.!.!. and a couple people actually got it in the 2nd city!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yes, you can try out in as many cities as you like, all in the same year!.
In fact, Season 6 winner, Jordan, was rejected at her first audition, so she tried out in another city and made it through to the Simon, Paula, Randy round, and they put her through to Hollywood (obviously)!.
There are about 3 rounds before you even get to the Simon, Paula, Randy round, so I'm sure a LOT of people try out in more than one city!.
Even David Archuleta originally got cut from the very first round!. As he was walking away, they changed their minds and told him he could go to the next round (saw it on a Larry King interview)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes they did!. Some even travel to lots of city just to get to different auditions hoping the judges can change his mind (but as long as Simon is there, and he has a good memory, that seems unlikely!.)Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yes!. If you don't succeed at one try-out locality you can travel to another one and try again: i've seen examples of this on the show!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
