That's just Carly!. She's been insecure since day 1, b/c she felt abandoned by her birth mom (Bobbie), who gave her up for adoption!.
And she has always meddled in everyone else's buisness!. Part of it is to just get attention!. But, right now, she's low b/c she's grieving for her son, Michael, and is doing whatever she can to distract her from her son's condition!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree with Kimmi!. Carly has been insecure every since she showed up in PC!. She is a manipulator and a meddler!. Most people who have that character do it because they are insecure and want to have control over other lives, but lack control in their own!. Carly just tends to go to the extreme!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
She has always been insecure that is why she acts the way she does!. The attitude she gives is mostly a front!. If she were secure she woulsnt stick her nose into everyones business!. This is nothing new!. Carly has always been insecure and has meddled in other peoples lives from Day one!. The first thing she did when she came on the show was wreck her mother's marriage!. That's always been Carly's main character trait!. It's just about the only thing consistent about her that dates back to when Sarah Brown originated the role!. The only thing new here (I assume you're talking about her asking Sonny to give up Kristina) is that she's actually doing something productive instead of just messing everything up!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
