Question: Why are people allowed to use the f-word on broadcasts of Big Brother in the UK!?
I thought the f-word would be one of those off-limit words that must never be said on a public broadcast, yet I hear it all the time while enjoying this ninth season (or series, as you call it) of the UK's "Big Brother" program!. I was under the impression that the UK had a lot of censorship regulations to prevent foul language on public television!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

After 9 o'clock is the watershed time, all the swearing and nudity is allowed on TV!. The only word that is censored is C*nt (i think)!.
The thing i can't understand is on the live feed on E4 even at 4am, if there is any nudity, it's not shown, but yet they will show it at 9 the next day, makes no sense
America is a lot worse for censoring TV!. I saw a lot of shows like Leno, Letterman, Conan, etc, when the word God was edited out!. So you can't say god on tv but you can buy a gun, makes no sense!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Its just getting worse and worse here for the F!.!.!.Word!. I get sick of hearing it!. But if in some programmes they did what they used to do and bleep it out you wouldn't hear hardly any speach at all!. Trouble is that there is a live feed on one of the channels here in the UK for Big Bro, and the language can then can be heard before the watershed of 9pm, and children can hear it!.

It's acceptable after 9 pm when it is assumed no children are watching!. It is called the 'watershed'! The 'F' word seems to have become part of normal language these days as you hear it in the street all the time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
If it's after the 9pm watershed then it's acceptable!. If it's before then they bleep it out!. The live stream they have during the day isn't actually live, it's about 15 mins behind, gives them time to censor itWww@Enter-QA@Com

Because the "Trendies" of our world think it's fun!. The participants use it because they are semi-literate, (at the best), and have such a limited vocabulary that they can't find the correct adjective to use in it's place!. It's used so often on TV that the kids around here use it as standard language!.
Make a note of the adverts appearing in the middle of shows using such foul language, or where the whole programme is sponsored by a company, and then write to them telling them the reason why you are going to buy their products from a competitor!. If you don't want to write just stop buying their products, it will soon hit home!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
