Britain's Got Talent - is it fixed ?!

Question: Britain's Got Talent - is it fixed !?
Hi,

I was watching the Final (of course before I go out on the town and paint it red!.!.) and that guy Andrew Muir who sang John Lenoon's Imagine said 'I didn't want to sing that song - it was out of my hands' !.!.!.

So, who is controlling the contestants then - does this mean that he was forced to do a song that wasn't right for him to make it less likely he could win !?

I'v read that book on these types of shows by Ben Elton (Chart Throb), and I really think Ben might have got it right!

Any thoughts on this (obviously before I go out and socialize like a normal person who has friends of course !) !?

If you listen to the show carefully, it clearly states that they each have a producer who recommends a song for them!. Or a routine, whatever the talent is!. They don't have to go ahead and do that song, but they are encouraged to, because the producers deem that best for them!. Clearly in some cases it isn't!. And also for the records, ITV1 has already got done for conning people in phone in votes and such, I would not at all be surprised if this contest was not legitimate!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Right, i heard that too, and faryl said that if she got to the final she would sing amazing grace as its her favorite song, correct me if im wrong but that wasnt amazing garce was it!?!?!?

also, craig said yesterday that he had 1min 40secs to perform, and escarla got 1min 55secs, some dude off of y!a timed it yesterday not me!!

And every night this week, the winner always performed last!.!.!.

OH and allegedly faryl was getting private singing lessons to ensure that she won that were funded by no other than simon cowell

Oh! (sorry) And the camera work has been more favorable to some contestants!.!.!.

Sorry, ive been screaming at the telly all week, it frustrates me soooo much!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think what happens is that the producers give him a song to sing, and he didnt like it, but he was too shy to say he didnt and was just trying to get a little sympathy =]
also i have a question!.!.!.
in the first bit of briatins got talent before the semi finals how do the judges know to put that person through when they could see someone next and think they where really good, but not have any room for them in the semi's!?!? It just doesnt make sense!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think they do control it a lot yes, because with george sampson - yea he is amazing, but he has alot more put into the act, with the rain and all the scenery!

They have changed some acts because with the bang on drummers they put music in the background which wasnt there choice as much but the judges didnt like this, it let um down, because pf the people behind it ! And that big girl one yesterday, was all glammed up in the second act, which wasnt her!

so yeaah i think it is fixed to an extent, shame really :(Www@Enter-QA@Com

i dont know - the thing that gets me is WHY they would fix it!?

how do 'they' (whoever they are) choose one act that they try to get people to vote for!? what do they get out of it!?

i do think its strange that muir said he didnt actually want to sing imagine!.

DANI- in answer to your question, they do put more than they need thru, then they go and watch the audition tapes again, and narrow it down from there!. i think they had about 90 acts this time, to narrow down to 40!. or whatever!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

if ben elton told me my house was on fire i'd ask for photographic proof!. i dont like ben elton hes a wannabee socialist who can afford to strike! but gameshow fixing has been going on since the 50's especially in the states!. "out of his hands" could mean his manager/mum told him to do imagine!. its that simple!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

dont think its fixed i dunno maybe i totally lurve signature they have it going on!!!!!! They are amazing!.!.!. They totally deserve to win!.!.!.They are amazing dancers and they make everyone laugh whatever it is i hope its a good final!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yeah!. and its interesting how just after he said "I didn't want to sing that song - it was out of my hands" ant and dec cut him off straight away!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

ive been trying to vote for george for the past 20 mins but all I get is the engaged sound!.!.!. theyll probably make that annoying opera singing boy win because he has a sob storyWww@Enter-QA@Com

Britains got talent but only if simon cowell says soWww@Enter-QA@Com

All TV ever is fixedWww@Enter-QA@Com

yes i definatly think its fixed otherwise faryl smith would have won itWww@Enter-QA@Com

no idea!. :/Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes it is to some extent as the acts don't actually get to pick the music they sing or dance too and they knew he had to sing a good song so they gave him one that clearly dosn't suit his voice, the acts they'd like to see win cos they are most marketable and profitable they give better music to sing to/perform to or allow them to sing their audition song,it seems that its more biased towards that Charlotte Church wannabe (Farrah) or that (yawn) yet another choir boy, so boring but its singers that make Simon the most money internationally, Signature were the most enjoyable to watch and they shouldn't have given George the same act to perform that he did only the other day, ridiculous!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
