No!. we are neither being "cynical" or "mean" We are simply enjoying a reality TV show!.
These are the king of comments we have to make when watching!. We don't know the contestants except for what we see and hear about them!.!.!.so if they are fat and doing break dancing!.!.!.we are bound to comment on that fact; even though some of us sitting at home are probably fatter and can't dance to save out lives!.
If they have bad teeth, bad skin or they come dressed up as lamb when we can clearly see that they are mutton!.!.!.We are bound to comment that they look ugly; even though some of us may have a face which would crack a mirror!.
We don't want to hear their sob stories either because we have problems too and we tuned in to forget about proper real life when we watch these shows!.
Those people come on these shows to be criticised and judged and that's what we has humans and RTV viewers love to do!.
If they can't take the heat!.!.!.they should stay out of the kitchen!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes, I believe we are more cynical and mean nowadays!. We live in an "anything goes" world and for some people it does!. We have all been brainwashed into thinking that insulting people on tv shows is "entertainment", that when people take up new challenges to learn some new trick, dance or song, it is then quite ok to tell them how awful they were in front of thousands!. That it is also ok to rubbish someone's reputation or show an ugly picture because it sells a magazine or newspaper!. Added to all this is the everyday story of crime and disrespect everywhere, constantly talked about on radio and displayed regularly on tv!. Interviewers on both radio and tv are regularly insulting and mean, all in the "public interest "of course!. So, with all this surrounding us why would people not become cynical and a bit mean!. Sometimes when I listen to comments or watch tv I feel as though I could be in a Roman ampitheatre baying for blood with the rest of the crowd!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I don't think it's mean or cynical, just that we are fed up of being taken for fools!. If I had a talent to go on that program and had a hard life, I wouldn't agree to a sob story being told!.

Gart you know that all my years of working in a Crown Court has made me extremely CYNICAL - BUT !.!.!.!.!.!.!.when it comes to things like BGT etc it does remind me of me!.!.!.!.!.!.!.opposite prob though!.!.!.!.!.would anybody like to see me a now a size 6 Dance with all my Ribs, Hip Bones etc sticking out - I'd of thought just as much a put off for some people as a larger lady !!Www@Enter-QA@Com
Probably a mixture Gart! I too hate the sob stories because they are only told to gain votes and I see that as unfair!. We don't have the right to judge I know (but we all do it) but she really couldn't dance could she even if she was overweight!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

no i didn't mind Anya ,it's the outrageous sob stories that are peeing me off Gart , i was cringeing when the photos of Madonnas kids were shown it was way over the top , and i'm sure many peeps around the country would have thought the sameWww@Enter-QA@Com
