Question: Someone name a decent drama on uk television!? (No soaps plz)!?
America gives us Greys Anatomy, House, Without a Trace, ER, Heroes, and Lost!. All brilliant shows!.!.!.!.!.some of the dramas on bbc1, 2, and ITV are well!.!.!.just awful, depressing, unimaginative and sometimes relentlessly ordinary!. Any ideas!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

The only shows that come close in Britain are Doctor Who, Life On Mars/ Ashes To Ashes and The Bill!.
If you think about it in Britain we don't seralise drama's like the Americans do!. In other words most of our drama's are one or two part showings on ITV at 9 0 clock and then that's it!. The Americans seralise there's - Heroes, Desperate Housewives, Lost -see what i mean!?
Most American shows blow ours out of the water and our soaps are blown out of the water by the Austrailian ones [Home and Away and Neighbours are ten times better than Corrie and eight times better than Eastenders!.]
The only exception to this rule i have found is Pushing Daisies which [i can't believe i'm saying this] would have been better if us Brits had got our hands on the scripts first!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

OK!.!. Lets put this into prospective, We only get the very best from the USA!.
Thousands of USA TV programs are pulled in the states after one or two episodes!. also USA have a season of 'pilot' shows broadcasted just for audience testing!. Most don't make the grade!.
If you search the internet you can find many series that have been pulled, mostly terrible, a few good one's are pulled, like 'The Lost Room'!.

inspector morse i suppose is a classic although i never really watched it but i would say dr!. who would be our best drama to export!!!! but don't forget about the likes of cold feet, clocking off, playing the field, teachers and no angels!. all good series!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
