Question: Looking back, does anyone else think simon totally manipulated everyone on the american idol finale nights!?
He is so flippin smart!. Like on the first night of the finale how he went on and on about how amazing david a was and how he basically had the win in the bag!. I think he did that cuz everyone always listens to what he says and he knew that then everyone would vote like crazy for david cook and alot of david a fans wouldnt vote as much cuz they would think he was safe!. And then the nxt night at the finale how simon apologised to david cook, not only did that make him look like the good guy, when david cook won it made it look like he was right all along(cuz he always gets the winner right)!.

I agree with you! He totally did! Thats probably the reason why David Cook won, i have no problem with even thought David Archuleta should have won but David Cook is great too!.David Cook probably won cause like you said Simon said on the night before the finale he said to Arculeta how great he was and that probably caused Archuleta fans to decide he would safe and not vote which cause Cook fans to vote! But its ok cause both are getting record deals!Www@Enter-QA@Com
actually before the final simon told ellen in an interview that he thought cook was definitely going to win!. He said archuleta didn't have the personality of the idol and that cook has experienced life more!. he also said that he would make the better idol because he would move from a bartender to an idol rather than david a turning into an idol from being 16 and not experiencing the worldWww@Enter-QA@Com
he used REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY to people, thats what he did to leona lewis in his show in the UK called x-factor, he thrashed talk to her big time and the people went crazy to vote for her, so leona lewis won!. he shows to people he likes the contestant but the truth is he hated that person, so the voters always goes against the so called "favorite" of simon COW!. that stupid COW always gets what he wants!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I wonder if Simon does do that sometimes, and I do wonder if that affected the outcome!. I do think the fan bases are closer to 50/50 than the votes reflected, I just think that it is the way they do their voting system!.

haha yeah i totally agree, I was thinking the same thing!! i think its cuz there were thoose rumours that idol didnt want david a to win, so by simon totally loving on him it made ppl think that they did want him to win!. simon totally knew what he was doing!. a total genius if u ask me! lolWww@Enter-QA@Com

Yeah I agree with you!. Simon has the winner right every time and knpws who is going home every time like he knows before the show!. And so when he said Archuleta had the winning spot in the bag he knows that people are going to vote less because so many people think that the show is set up or that the judges have something to do with the results that they must have thought Oh yeah Archie has this one and then when Simon insulted David Cook that ticked off David Cook fans [ or I refer to them as all of David's Cookies] and that caused them to vote more and more and more because they're are people that think that judges and America had somthing to do with the results and so if you combine SIMONS opinion and 12 million votes for David Cook well you get a good outcome!. We all know Simon gets his way!. I think he did that little trick so that he would tick off all of David's Cookies and then they would vote and then Simon would have his way!. When Simon apologized we all know he has NEVER done that before at the finale NEVER!. I know he wanted David Cook to win because Simon Paula and Randy all said he was the American Idol well not YOUR THE NEXT AMERICAN IDOL but I feel like I'm already looking at the American Idol

I'm pretty sure that Simon actually meant it when he apologized to David Cook, because I remember in a pre-finale red carpet interview, he mentioned to the reporter that after listening back to the performances at home, he could hear David Cook's voice much more clearly!. In the studio, his voice seems to echo because his mic was off or unstable, & sounded foggy to him!. But on the television, the sound is taken from a single direction & has a clearer, more solid sound!. I believe that's why Simon said it wasn't as close-cut as he believed it to be!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

He even went on to say he was more deserving!. Simon, the night of the performances, magically does a 180 and FLIPS and says Archuleta won the night!?
