With so many truly talented singer/songwriter/ musician/ producers out there, and with so many talented bands, why would you want to listen to American Idols!? They're just boring! Does anyone else feel like that at all!?!Www@Enter-QA@Com

i like american idol, but i do not think the people who get on are the best!. i didnt watch the show that much this season but i wanted david archuleta to win!. i think they should have a show like american idol, but instead of just one person it should be with bands!. that would be a good show!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I agree with you!. I loved Blake and wanted him to win last year too but I understood why Jordin won!. I thought Archuleta was more of a singer and Cook was just another "rocker"!. American Idol was originally a singing competition but I guess now it's turning towards "who is the most popular singer"!. I just like Archuleta a whole lot better!. He was the real singer with phenomanal vocals!. Though Cook may be talented, this was a competition to find the best singer, not the best performer or a song arrangement contest!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Well what I ONLY see on David Cook is eyeliner and to me lots of it, can't get past that LOL!. And as for his singing abilities!.!.!.sure if that's what passes for talent with the exception of Kelly Clarkson sure why not he's got a sliver of talent!. I thought he was a boring cookie cutter version of another wanna be "supposed rock singer", just my opinion of course!. I don't see him surpassing any billboard chart history but I'll listen to anything once for sh*ts and giggles!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
he is very talented and i have no doubt that he will write, and sing great music soon!. he might seem boring to you know because he has only sung songs from a certain list that the producers give them, but give him time and like the other idols(most of them anyway) he will have a great record out very soon!!

An amazing voice, passionate performer, and an honest, nice guy!. Plus he's cute!
Obviously there are lots of other people who agree because there were about 97 million votes on the finale night of Idol!.

i have no clue what they say but i do agree with you he does have talent i will give him credit for that but he doesn't really sing he kinda of yells i wouldn't buy his music and i liked

Here's what I see in David Cook:
- An AMAZING voice, with an incredible range & rock-vibe to it!.
- The most versatile contestant I've ever seen, who can sing anything from "Music of the Night" to "Always Be My Baby" to "Baba O'Reily", all with perfect pitch & all flawlessly!.
- An unforgettable performer, who can keep your eyes glued to the television even if he was singing the alphabet!.
- A great personality, always putting others before himself & being a sweetheart about winning!.
- Great potential, he has staying power & knows who he is as a musician, he's not going to fall into that "bubble-gum pop star" trap as many others will (I fear that for David Archuleta)!.
American Idol songs are boring because, as a previous answerer stated, the songs are chosen from a limited list!. Considering how difficult it would be to choose a song that suited you from such a small list, David Cook (& many other contestants this season) were far from boring!. But if you watch David Cook's performances, there's no way in your right mind you can't say he's pure entertainment on that stage!.
Kudos to the first answer, I would DEFINITELY love to watched an American Idol spin-off featuring bands as opposed to singers!. I'm an alternative/indie type of girl myself, so that would be awesome!. (=Www@Enter-QA@Com
