Britain's Got Talent: Isn't it a shame the Saw Man didn't get throug!

Question: Britain's Got Talent: Isn't it a shame the Saw Man didn't get through!?
Answers:
My problem with this show (which is what it is), comes down to the utter ignorance of the judges!.

Simon Cowell may have a good eye and a good ear for all things popular, but he makes a total fool of himself by criticising "that ridiculous piano solo" when a lady sings a song by Grieg!. In fact, the excellent accompanist was playing EXACTLY what Grieg wrote!

Piers Morgan knows nothing about almost anything, but somehow, he sits there arrogantly judging the world!. He is the personification of Britain to-day; condescending, false and self-opinionated!.

Broadly speaking, I would suggest that most of the acts that got through deserved to get through, but there were glaring errors!.

The man who destroyed Star Wars is a disgrace even to electronic keyboard players, and should never have been allowed through!.

The 13 year old boy who danced so beautifully should have flown through to the semi-finals, but obviously, true art is beyond the understanding or comprehension of the judges!.

As for the saw-man, he follows a very time-honoured tradition of musical-saw performance; yet he was as good as anything I've personally heard!. Personality wise he may have come across as a bit strange, but musically, he was faultless!.

My main worry about this sort of programme, is that the best talents simply do not enter because they know that they would fail the popularity test, and so what we get is a promotion of mediocraty and popularism!.

I don't object to Simon Cowell, but when he is the promotional brains behind almost all these sort of programmes, there is the danger that he will end up becoming an over-exposed hack in the entertainment business!.

Still, the excellent Indian comic dancers got through, and the break-dancing 14 year old who's worked so hard, all alone, to develop a great street act!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
