If fair, do you mean, actually count the number of people voting!? --- then no, but I think the two best singers ended up in the finale, so I guess it is fair in that sense!.
I'm on the page that says that the way they do the voting can no way reflect the actual number of people that vote though!. They don't limit the calls, so there is no way to know the number of people who actually voted!.
Just based on answers, and I know that it doesn't reflect everyone who voted, but I would say there is about a 50/50 split between the David A!. fans and the David C!. fans!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think it's as fair as reality television gets!.
I agree with the poster above me - the two best singers were in the finale, so in that sense it was pretty fair!. & in my personal opinion, the contestant who deserved it the most won!. I'm not saying it's a flawless system, because it often turns into a popularity competition, but if America makes the wrong decision then the voters will be the ones to pay the price!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I have vote and i voted for about an hour and only got through 5 times so they dont count everyone who calls in and Votes!. I'm sure if everyone got through everytime there would be much more votes then just 97 and a half million!. So i guess its not really fair since its really hard to get through the busy phone lines!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
