Answers:
yes! i was thinking this the whole time!!! i mean yea i know they have to appeal to all audiences, kids, teens, adults, and old people, but come on! i think bryan adams was one of the younger performances, and i liked him!. i think idol is a last chance for them to shine one last time, so the producers try to bring them in, cuz their career is over already!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Probably for the younger generation yes it was a tad outdated!. But for those of us that have seen these legends since the beginning of their career, no it wasn't!. It is called experience which the performers last night had very much of!. Not to mention that Donna Summer performed a new song that is just now being released!. The same with George Michael, (whom I thought looked like death walking and his song was totally depressing)!. But the bottom line is that those older performers that you saw last night are performers who have been around many years and have withstood the test of time!. They have inspired and taught many of the younger performers on the charts today!. If someone wants to be successful in that industry they better be knowledgeable of those that came before them!. And I'm sure that the American Idol would rather be someone who will last in the industry for a long time and not just a one hit wonder!. So they definetely had something beneficial to share with the Idol contestants and that would be how to last!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

All the artist on last night had to make it big in the music business based on great music and songs!. Great singer/songwriters are around much longer for that reason!. This was before the music video age!. Unlike nowadays an ok song combined with a good video will give you 15 minutes of fame!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I thought some of it was so totally ridiculous - like that guru segment (Mariska Hargitay) or the totally random tape of Gladys Knight backed up by 3 comedians from 1972!. Surely they can come up with better stuff that that!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Thats the way idol always has been! Someone has to tell the producers to move up with the times! This isnt the 60s! I have always liked Bryan Adams though and thought George Michael was preety good!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

This entire season of American Idol has been a little off!. I mean why on earth would they choose to do 2 weeks of Beatles songs!?!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

well, I loved david cooks performance with zz top, but that donna summers lagy, FREAKY!!! I agree with you!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No, I loved it!. NEWS FLASH: Not everyone who watches the show is 12, ok!. Some of us older fans enjoy some music geared to us too, if thats ok!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

It was outdated but I think they were going for the legends!. Not the new comers!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

HELL YES
Why can't they sing songs from the 2000's!. They did a little bit, but yes, that **** was cornyWww@Enter-QA@Com

Very true!.!.!.!.lol!.!.!.what KC and the Sunshine band wasn't available!?!?!? I don't know what it is with Idol always bringing back these old acts!.!.!.!.Bryan Adams!?!? Come on!.!.!.what a joke!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
