The young ones (the sitcom) and my family (also a sitcom)?!

My Family is aimed at "the whole family" the slight sexual innuendos go over the heads of the kids but will give the parents a laugh and the general comedy will make kids laugh!.

On the other hand The Young Ones is aimed at a mature audience, its also "alternative comedy" which basically means it doesnt appeal to general audiences!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I haven't really watched the young ones much, once or twice and wasn't impressed, but am and will always be a lover of My Family!. As far as target audience I would say it's not really for young kids, nor an adult comedy, uses adult themes as most of the jokes come from or around the parents!. A lot of sexual innuendos that would go over the head of kids!. Personally I think it's one of the funnier Brit coms ever made, and has incredible stars!. Zoe Wannamaker iis a star of top quality having been nominated for a tony and lost only because Judy Dench was also up!. Robert Lindsey did a wonderful series playing a detective, so far from the part he is playing in My Family!.
It appeals to it's audience by having good writers and good actors and plots!. also, as far as I'm concered, by being so close to life, but just a litte off, you can believe it can happen, but pray it never does!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
