They have a guy that comes out and entertains you for those 3 min commercial breaks
They told us to be very quiet during the opening segment with the whole boxing thing!.
It is very much live from the first minute to the last

Yes, everything is live except for the taped portions they show (behind the scenes, interviews with the contestants, etc) and Idol Gives Back (the results show) is also not live because it's held on a number of stages and involves many performers, so they tape it earlier!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
