Question: American Idol is going downhill!?!?!!! Pfffttt!!?
Once in awhile I see someone on here who says that the show is going downhill! So my question is then why is every other post on here about American Idol and who's going to win!?
And why are there still MILLIONS of people watching and voting every week!?
If anything, I think American Idol keeps getting bigger and bigger!.!.!.!.

The ratings have gone down A TON since around season 5!. It's no longer as big as it used to be!. Season 5 was probably the highest it got and from then it's gone down hill!. I've seen ratings to prove it!. The people that vote usually are the fanatics that hit redial for the full 2-4hours, lol!. Last year was the worst year (rating/sales wise) season ever, so this year the producers put a lot of "plants" in the show!. Haven't you noticed that half of the top 12 already havr CDs out!? Carly already has music videos out on youtube (search Carley Hennessay- that's her name before she got married)!. Same with Kristy!. David Archuleta already won star search!.
The days when american idol was about finding undiscovered talent is gone!. :-( Now it seems like it's people with failed music careers!.!.!. I miss the people like Kelly Clarkson, Elliott Yamin, Clay Aiken!.!.!. the real raw talent!.!.!.
Plus, even though Sanjaya was terrible last season, a lot of people felt strongly about how he was treated on the show!. They felt bad for him!. I go on the forums on the American Idol site and you wouldn't believe how many people are outraged with the Jason scenario this year!. There was a fan list (for Jason) well over 1,000 people (the biggest fanlist for any of the contestants on the site) and they all claim to not watch the show next season!. They felt so bad for Jason, he was treated with little respect and so much brutality!. And the fact that Paula judged one of his performances before he even preformed it (first night when they each sang 2 songs) basically proved that the show is scripted!. All of the "dreadheads" have moved onto a Jason fansite to talk about him instead of the AI boards, and tons of other fans felt really bad about the whole situation!.!.!. poor Jason!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't think its gone downhill!. I think its been stuck in a canyon since day 1!.
People watch it because they're suckers!. They think that voting for a 'winner' somehow validates them and makes them a part of a process that is so obviously rigged!. With all the software out there to autodial or seize lines, who can really say how accurate the voting is!? The producers don't even have to acknowledge the votes, they have the authority within the rules of the contest to kick off whomever they want!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I totally agree! The people who say that are the people who think that show is stupid!. I don't know what they're trying to achieve!.!.!.but whatever it is, I don't think it's working!.!.!.

I don't consider it as going down hill at all!. It is just fun to watch and I can't imagine it not being on any more!. That show makes them too much money and they wouldn't be making all that money if it was going downhill!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
