Question: To lifelong Whovians- what do you think of David Tennant as Doctor Who!?
Im American, but have always been a Whovian- Jon Pertwee and Patrick Troughton were the best-
It's a shame Paul Mgann was not signed on to make a string of episodes, as his tv movie and slew of Big Finish audio adventures proved he was a great doctor!.!.!.
Christopher Eccleson had a vulnerability about him, and he had great promice- but like Colin Baker and Paul Magann, his tenure was too short!.!.!.
Which brings me to David Tennant-I can't stand his depiction of the Doctor!.!.!.!.
I think the original makers of Doctor Who overcame the low special effects budget by bringing in top notch writers-but with the current Doctor Who program- the focus seems to be on the speciel effects-so the storylines suffer!.What do you think of the current Doctor!? It was nice to see him meet up with the fifth Doctor, but Peter Davidson was a MUCH better Doctor!.!.WHY did they bring back the Master only to kill him off for good!? What they should have done was use one of the Masters earlier incarnations!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm not a fan of David Tennant - I much preferred Christopher Eccleston!. And you were right - Christopher Eccleston had a vulnerability about him and he radiated pure joy when he was on the way to solving something!. I've always enjoyed Dr!. Who but Eccleston was the most fun to watch for me!. I'm waiting impatiently for the current incarnation of my favorite character to meet some nasty end so that a new (and better) Doctor can take his place!. I don't think David Tennant is so bad!.!.!.he has that 'quirky', almost hyperactive personality I've come to associate with the Doctor!. I've been watching ever since the Tom Baker days, and I have to say the main thing I'm not fond of is the interior of the TARDIS!. I liked the less 'organic' look of it from the old days!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
