Question: If you can only sing one genre, can you be AI!?
My question is this!.!.if you cannot seem to sing out of you comfort zone, or particular genre (take David Archuleta who cannot sing and preform, well, unless he is singing a slow-tempoed ballad!.
If you can only sing one specific genre, yet your the popular vote and have the biggest fanbase, is that fair!? I mean take Taylor Hicks!. He has bombed post-Idol!.
Whoever wins this season, I know that David Cook will be the most successful!. He is versatile, and when he preforms out of his comfort zone, or genre, I tend to LOVE those all preformances best!. Especially tonight!. I just love to watch him, so entertaining!.
SO! Do you all think that if the contestant is confined to one genre (and when they try to go out of it they bomb) should they still become the American Idol!? I value versatility, but I guess not many people do!.

HAH, oh man!. Before I even clicked on the link to the question, I was planning on answering, "Well David Archuleta is in there, so I guess so!."
I can't STAND it anymore!. I'm trying to like him because he is very talented for his age & is a very nice & humble little boy!. But I can't deal with his same songs every week anymore!. He puts me to SLEEP!. A great singer, no doubt, but an awful performer!. During his third performance, I found myself staring at the screen about a minute into his song & realized that little David had been singing the entire time! I was actually just looking at the screen without thinking about it, it was almost like I was sleeping with my eyes open!. I can't stand this!. If he matured a few years, I would definitely see him as being a great performer but right now!? He has about as much charisma & marketability as a slice of bread!.
Syesha & David Cook outsang David Archuleta by about a couple million miles!. Unfortunately, being the popularity competition that this is, Syesha will leave tomorrow!. David Archuleta will probably end up winning the entire competition but if another cookie-cutter pop star is what America wants, hey, the joke's on them!. Cook will be successful regardless, without the help of Idol!. Archuleta, on the other hand, is less experienced & will probably need all the help he can get!.

I don't know because David Cook is only a rocker who belts out a screaming last note for a big finish, but during the first part of the song he's kind of off pitch, so I think he is the most one-note performer of any of them left!.

AI hasn't been that great this season they really didn't challenge the contestants as much as they have in the past, and none of the contestants seemed very versatile!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
