Question: Im confused about the idea of the Time War in Doctor Who!?
im only 15 so i havent seen any doctor who episodes before the new series!. but i get the impression that there were other timelords in the old series!.
is the idea of the Time War something only in the new series or was there anything about it in the old series!?
also i was wondering do time lords such as the doctor have a limited number of regenerations!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

In the old series of Doctor Who there was other Time lords but in the last episode before the new ones Begin The Doctor went off to fight in the Time War!. We never got to see the Time War but when it returned in 2005 with Christopher Eccleston we found out that he was the only survivor!.
The Doctor has 13 lives so that means he can regenerate 12 times there already been 10 Doctors so that means after David Tennant there can only be 3 more Doctor'sWww@Enter-QA@Com

The Time War is a new concept in the new series and was never mentioned in the old series!. The old series featured some stories on Gallifrey, the home planet of the Time Lords, including short battles between the Time Lords and various enemies (Cybermen, Sontarans, Daleks!.!.!.)!.
Time Lords featured off Gallifrey too, including Romana who travelled with the Doctor for a period!.
Time Lords have 12 regenerations, although some have found a way to have more!.!.!.

Yes, There were other TimeLords but b/c of the Time War, The Doctor is the only one left!. They havent' revelaed what has happend in The Time War yet ( I REALLY HOPE THEY DO SOON)!. The Doctor was the only survivor and he said he fought on the front line!.

Skip the Wikipedia idea!. Google Dr Who and you will come up on some brilliant home pages!. The BBC look after the one for the current Doctor, but Project Gallifrey (were the doctor came from ) is brilliant!. It should be able to answer all your questions!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
