Question: Did you read the EW article re: David Archulettas dad getting kicked off the set!?
Seem his dad was raising heck as he usually does and AI finally had enough and banned him from the set!.

Do you think David would be singing these type of songs if he was left to choose on his own!?
AND
If the contestants were allowed to sing any song they wanted to (given all songs are cleared & they can sing them) would the same 3 still be here!? Or would it be some one else in the final 3!?
As a side note, I wonder if David even really wants to sing!. There is some deep sadness in that child!. Deep deep sadness!.

Now that you mention it there is an aura about him when he is on!. And you are right - it is a sort of sadness in a way!. He doesn't seem as naturally bubbly and happy as the others!. Which just supports what I've been thinking all along and that is that the kid isn't mature enough to carry off what would come along if he were to win this thing!. He hasn't got much stage presence or personality for this and it shows, I think!. 17 is far too young to be involved in a contest like this and maybe they should up the qualifying age to 19 or 20!. Let a teenager be a teenager first!. Not have a Dad that lives vicariously!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Ok, let me make this clear: David Archuleta loves singing, and he chooses his own songs every week!. He dad gives him advice, and he only got kicked off the set because he added the Beautiful Girls line, but it turns out that David sang that version in front of the producers 4 times, and they loved it, so he did it for the show and they freaked out!. Everyone is blowing this way out of porportion!Www@Enter-QA@Com
I believe this is all a huge publicity stunt designed to generate news, and viewership!. The ratings for AI are slipping, and gossip must be introduced!. An example is the Paula mishap!. Interviews were given by people close to the family, saying the father was not that bad, and it's all over rated!. Yet the media feeds off each misstep, as they always do!. We need to not pay attention, and these stories will go away!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I probably feel strongly about this because my daughter has enormous musical ability!. Several years ago, I was told that she should start competing in piano competitions!. I said no!. I said at this point, I had never had to tell her to practice because she loved it so much!. If she entered into comptetions, it would become work!. I told the director of the orchestra that she could choose to do that someday, but that it would be her choice!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

He had David sing lyrics to Stand By Me that were not approved and cost AI tons of money!. His Dad can be in the audience but not back stage!. I think sSome of David's
choices may have altered but he is probably pretty well brain washed by his Dad so!.!.!.!.!. And I think the contestants DO have a lot of control over what songs they sing from the category chosen!.
It is still, even though we don't want to admit it, a popularity contest!. David would be there!. I think David is just shy!. I don't see it as sadness!. We'll see how this has affected him by his performances tonight!
PS I don't think this will "wreck" his career!. This kind of stuff has been happening for a long time!. He will be 18 pretty soon and then he can make his own decisions as far as his career is concerned!. Plus, when he gets a contract his Dad will not have full control over what happens, the record company will!. THAT, for example, explains Bo Bice's dismal first CD!.
