Question: Why do witty sitcoms always get cancelled!?
Or pushed back to really late time slots!? Great shows, like Arrested Development and 30 Rock!? Is it just that they don't get good ratings because the average american isn't intelligent enough to follow that sort of witty, dry humor!?

Because there has NOT been a witty real sitcom since Archie Bunker did "All in the Family"!. They been crap!. Yer 30 rock and Arrested Development I consider crap!. Call it the "Dumbing of America" or what ever you want but comedy is no longer as funny to me!. Leno and Letterman are NOT half as funny as Carson was!. I'm no less intelligent but comics like Jerry Sinefeld certainly are less inventive than George Burns and Gracie Allen!. Jump a generation to Bill Cosby and George Carlin!. Still funny!. U right about the canned laughter!. That what wrong with sitcoms and most all TV today, They try to manufacture your emotions for you!. I watch all the premier shows and NOT one has captured my interest in 20 years in sitcoms!. The Funny comics do not do sitcoms any more!. Maybe on cable but not on network tv!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
because people are stupid and the producers in hollywood that turn out this junk are high on drugs or something and never will know or care what the real public wants but because they are dealing with idiots that watch these shows they will keep rolling out this dribble and if you notice it only takes one show ( ie csi ) and now you got so many different varieties of this show (crime ) that you cant tell them apart why have all these different writers when only one has to write a show and the others can copy off it television is nothing more than a proving grounds for idiots who watch itWww@Enter-QA@Com
You are correct!. Many studies have shown that the average person is stupid!. You and I may find the jokes predictable, but the average person cannot predict them!. Therefore, the network exeutives are able to repackage them again and again and have success!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yes the state of television at the moment is so degrading to those who watch it, so do they really think that Crime Crime Crime is all we want!? What ever happened to being able to relax infront of the tv and having incredible belly laughs, that hasent happend to me in such a long time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
