That's an excellent question, & my answer would be absolutely!.
For those who don't listen to rock music, of course David Archuleta will have the best voice (his voice is amazing)!. But that is different than saying he has the most talent!. I mean, having a great voice won't help you when you're on tour performing in front of millions of people, will it!? Talent includes voice, of course, but also needs to include charisma, stage presence, versatility, originality, range, looks, personality, & star potential!. So for me, little David may have a beautiful voice but even so, he doesn't fill in the void needed to be an American Idol!. He is still unsure of himself as a musician, & needs to build up his confidence if he wants to be successful in the industry today!.
I feel a little guilty for picking on little David to answer this question, so please understand I'm not hating on him at all!. He's really talented & cute! It's just that I see a lot of people say things like, "He has such an amazing voice & he is so cute!" & it just makes for a good example!. Actually, a lot of it's been based on neither; more looks and popularity!. Carly and Michael are examples of that, even though they were both attractive, as well as the most talented with the best voices, but I guess they weren't very popular!. And then there was Kristy Lee, who I didn't find to be the most talented, but I guess she was really popular with all of the guys who thought she was cute, or something!. But I think the Davids are both talented and have great voices and are fairly attractive and they're extremely popular, so both are total packages and I hope to see them in the finale!. Then I'll be happy whoever wins because they both deserve it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think people are voting for who "looks the best", who fits the "Americal Idol Profile" the best!. You know what I mean!. Because personally I though Carly had the best voice AND most talent hands down!. In the end its gonna be David vs David!. Because they're both young, good looking etc!.

i think it's all about looks and popularity instead of singing ability!. david archuletta is a cute little boy but he's far from being a good singer he only sings boring slow songs and has a lack of experience!. syesha is already an actress so she doesn't even need the singing career and david cook is just ok looking but he has talent and can sing wellWww@Enter-QA@Com
I don't think it's a matter of "this season" I think some are always kept into the competition "too long" due to popularity among, usually, the young ladies!.!.!.If you remember the first one!.!.!.!.it came down to Kelly and Justin!.!.!.!.Justins voice was good, but really face it, it did not compare to Kelly's!.!.!.!.but he beat out a lot of other contestants because he was so darn cute!.!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I was a fan of Jason Castro!. He was easily the most unique person in the history of A!.I!. My votes will now go to Archuleta, who has an incredibly pure , baritone voice!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

David Archuleta is very good!. A very beautiful Tenor [ high] voice!. He is obviously a ballad singer!. I think he was blessed with a wonderful pure voice!. I think I like it when he sings fast songs to because yeah he is a ballad singer but he can also take his voice and go more up beat!. He has such and AMAZING voice for 17 years old!. Oh and he is also very sweet and humble just like you would want an Idol contestant to be and not some stuck up snob!.
David Cook is soooooooooo so good!. I really think that he is better than David A!. even though I do think David A!. is very good!. David Cook just has this baritone [ low] genuine rocker voice!. Like David A!. he is also blessed!. He can go outside of his norm and take a Mariah Carey song and turn into something that fits him or he can do something like Music Of The Night sing it the way it was written and still make you want to buy it as a record!. He is just so good and I would not be surprised if he took the whole thing!. He is also humble and nice and he is not arrogant so that makes me like him!. Although when I was watching Idol Tonight it said he has problem with his self confidence and he has like low self esteem even if he was arrogant, I think he has every right to be arrogant!. And he has one HECK of a stage presence!. He just moves around and is not afraid to actually have Charisma on stage!. Some former contestants would just look all scared up there and would like never move well maybe once in a while maybe move their hand up but that is it!. David Cook is a true performer!. The fact that he is cute may help him as well!. :)

And I think that America is not basing it on talent, they base it on like who's hot who's not I didn't like their outfit tonight so they don't have my vote, or OH they're a nerd but who cares if they can sing [ I was so mad when they nerd Kyle went home in Hollywood week]
But you know when smart people vote basing on talent they are going to vote for who they like!.
David Cook should win and that is my opinion!. I think Syesha will come in 2nd!.
Oh and to the person who answered before me, you shouldn't call people freaks or idiots because of who they like!. If I hate David Archuleta that is my choice to hate David Archuleta and if I want David Cook to win then I have every right to want David Cook to win and people should not bring people down because they don't agree with you!. Sorry!. You vote for who you like and people will vote for who they like!. yes, I don't think they take into account other factors that are involved in being a successful musician!. as V! put it earlier, there are the aspects of charisma, originality, range, strength, personality, stage presence, versatility, etc!. i do not necessarily have a favorite in the final 3, because i was a die-hard michael johns and carly smithson fan before they left!. none of the remaining contestants are my style of music so i probably wouldn't buy an album from any of them, but for me personally, david cook is the only one who seems like he knows what he's doing and possesses all the characteristics that is needed by an american idol!. david archuleta's voice is adorable and beautiful, but david cook's voice is husky and exciting!. so assuming their voice appeals to the same number of people, we should consider who do better later on and that is david cook!. david archuleta's album probably would not sell and could end up flopping!.
