Question: Do American Idol voters vote based on who has the best voice instead of who has the best talent!?

That's an excellent question, & my answer would be absolutely!.
For those who don't listen to rock music, of course David Archuleta will have the best voice (his voice is amazing)!. But that is different than saying he has the most talent!. I mean, having a great voice won't help you when you're on tour performing in front of millions of people, will it!? Talent includes voice, of course, but also needs to include charisma, stage presence, versatility, originality, range, looks, personality, & star potential!. So for me, little David may have a beautiful voice but even so, he doesn't fill in the void needed to be an American Idol!.
I feel a little guilty for picking on little David to answer this question, so please understand I'm not hating on him at all!. He's really talented & cute! It's just that I see a lot of people say things like, "He has such an amazing voice & he is so cute!" & it just makes for a good example!. I mean, I wish they would clarify what other qualities they see in him besides the voice & age, because that'd make for a much better argument!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

people are always like "oh, but he/she has such a good voice!!" but really, if they don't have a good stage presence then that doesn't make them an american IDOL!.
(cough david archuleta!. yeah he has a nice voice, but he just kinda stands there with his eyes closed! in my opinion, it does make a difference whether you are up there moving around (aka you're a good dancer) and are a talented singer or not) =]Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes!. In the past seasons people voted for people who they liked more rather than who sang better!. I've even done that!. :)
In the season of Ruben and Clay, Clay obviously should have won, but I think because they haven't had a previous african american, they wanted him to win rather than this "gay" guy!.
It's just kind of stupid!. I don't vote for the cocky ones because I don't think they should win!. I believed Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood won because they were good, however, I don't think Jordin Sparks should have won!.
