You probably did't notice that he always helps the (girl) contestants to their seats, pats someone on the back when the get eliminated, and whispers to the other contestants that they had a good performance!.
He's just polite!. It's like when guys get up at the table when a woman leaves!.

I don't feel bad for Cook at all!. Archuleta deserves some of the attention too!. & Cook is way too cocky for doing that!. Just goes to show that he thinks hes going to win!.
