Question: Do you feel the voting system is fair on American Idol and Dancing With The Stars!?
Both American Idol and Dancing With The Stars have become more of a popularity contest, rather than talent show, because viewers can vote more than once for their favorite contestants!.
On American Idol, you can vote an unlimited number of times for as many contestants as you want!. While Dancing With The Stars limits you to a total of 5 votes in a night (although you could use those 5 votes to vote for the same contestant or more than one, if you want)!.
It is my feeling to be fair, the voting should be limited to one call, one vote only for one contestant!. How do you feel about this!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think the voting system is terrible on Idol!. You should only be able to vote one or two times!. Some people will stay on the phone for hours!. So, the person that wins is not necessarily the best but the one who's fans sat on the phone for two hours!. Who has time for that!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think the voting for AI is horrible! I like how Dancing does it - you get to vote the number of times for how many contestants there are - which is much more logical than an unlimited amount of votes!. But switching both to one vote per phone line is just fine, and certainly adequate to select a winner in either of the shows!.

DWTS is fair because you can only vote up to as many contestants are left on the show and only onces per phone line same with American idol and they both have really been a popularity contest i mean on dancing with the stars Marie stayed on till the end and Sabrina got voted off now who was the better dancer Marie on Sabrina!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
American Idol's voting system needs to change!. They need to adopt what Dancing With The Stars uses, where half of the score comes from the judges and the other half comes from the public vote!. That way, you don't end up with contestants overstaying their welcome, like Sanjaya and Jason Castro!.

I think it is a little whacked!. I don't watch AI, but I am all about DWTS!. I think it should be one call per phone line, but for the computer voting!? I think it needs to go!. How many times can you vote online!? As many times as you want as long as you have access to a computer!. I am pretty sure they don't limit how many votes come off of an IP address, they go by email!. So, it turns it into a popularity contest!.

I'm not sure the voting is fair!.!.!. I know Dancing w/the Stars gives you a total number of votes per night, but I've called before and before I reached my total I've gotten the message, "thanks for voting you've reached your limit from this phone number" and I hadn't!.

American Idol voting needs to change!. It should be one vote per phone(cell and landline)!. Alot of other countries do that with their versions of Idol!.

But if that Dreadlocks boy (Castro) stays on a week longer I'm going to kick him out of the competition himself! Ahh!. He even said that he doesn't want to be in this thing anymore so I don't see why he just doesn't volunteer himself out of american idol!. So stupid!.

What makes American Idol unfair is that you vote for who you like instead of who you want to leave!. When people vote for who they like it's always very close results but if you voted for who you wanted to go home the votes would be more hands down and more fair I think!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think you should be limited to 10 votes per phone line!. I believe that is more fair and less complicated too!. I wouldn't be upset if it were just one vote either!. Dancing With The Stars has the right idea!. Idol should take a tip from them!Www@Enter-QA@Com
