They underwent intrauterine insemination (IUI)!. The first part of the process was putting Kate on fertility drugs to stimulate her ovaries to produce eggs and to release them!.
Then, using a catheter, they injected jon's sperm directly into her uterus, to increase the chance of fertilization!. (IUI increases the chance of fertilization because, when conceiving the "old-fashioned way", the sperm has to make it through the cervix, so bypassing the cervix, the sperm have a better chance of getting to the fallopian tubes to fertilize eggs)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
