Labeling Jason Castro in such a category with Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood is ABSURD!. He is absolutely atrocious compared to them, and this season, he is mediocre at best!.
He does nothing to his song choices to make them his own, no differential re-arrangements, no personality - a true artist, hell, even Syesha - makes them her own!. He is the weakest link!.!.!.

actually, no i dont think so!. and here's my reasoning:
Only one person can win, so whats the point in bringing everyone else down!.!.!.again!?! they've all been through it and proven that they are worthy of the American Idol title, or worthy of where they are in the careers!. Say Carrie Underwood won, that in no way means shes better or more talented that Chris Daughtry or Kelly Clarkson!.
also I doubt anyone, exept maybe Taylor Hicks would agree to do it because they have all forged amazing careers outside of idol!. Going back to compete on it would be a step backwards!. Especially for the more successful idols like Carrie, Daughtry and Kelly who all have all sold millions of records, picked up grammys and sold out concerts!.
While I totally agree it would be fun and probabaly get alot of viewers, I just dont see something like that ever actually happening!. Like I said, there is no point in putting them all through that again when they have only just proved to the world that they can succeed without a talent competition!.

It is a good idea!. If you follow Simon Cowell's other show, X Factor (which is the UK version of America Idol), they are going to do what you propose (have all the winners battle it out for the grand title):

I think that that is a great idea!. American Idol has spawned some of the most talented people in the business, and that to bring them all back would be even greater!. I love David Cook, and Jason Castro is my second favorite!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
