I second the nomination of Burn Notice!. It is an escapist action show, sort of like Prison Break, but it mixes humor in well with the drama!. USA Network is replaying it now, the DVDs of the first season will be out soon, and the second season starts July 10th!.

The 4400 is very similar to Heroes!. It is about a group of "ordinary" people who were kidnapped, and when they were returned, they each had an extraordinary super power!. It is no longer on the air, unfortunately, but it is on DVD!.

I'd also recommend 24!. It has the same serialized adrenaline rush as Prison Break and Heroes!. The first season was really, really good!. Subsequent seasons varied in quality!. The first seasons can be found on DVD, with the seventh season starting in January!.

La Femme Nikita was really good!. It had a lot of continuing storylines!. It also was about the struggle of good vs!. evil and had a lot of morality issues!. The first season (in which an innocent woman was framed for a crime she didn't commit and has to work for a super-secret, not-so-nice corporation, all while plotting her escape) reminds me a little of Prison Break, while the complex characters are like Lost, and the forbidden romance between Michael and Nikita is like that of Mick and Beth on Moonlight!. It was canceled, but all five seasons can be found on DVD!.

If you don't mind sci-fi, Battlestar Galactica is really good and is similar to Lost!. It is about a group of people who survived the extermination of the human race!. It is about their struggle to survive, the creation of a new society, and the battle against mysterious forces!. So, basically, like Lost on spaceships!. :) The acting is good, the stories are good, and the characters are complex and interesting!. The first three seasons are on DVD, and the fourth season is airing now on the Sci-Fi network!.

As far as books go, the Dark Hunter chronicles by Sherrilyn Kenyon are very similar to Moonlight!. They feature supernatural men fighting evil and mortal women!. They're not exactly Nobel Prize for Literature reading, but they are fun reads, and I like them!.

Of course, an obvious book is Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice!. I liked the first and second (The Vampire Lestat) in the series, but the others weren't as good, in my opinion!.

Lost is a lot like Lord of the Flies, but it's a bit boring!.!.!. I like Grey's anatomy and pushing daisies!. Pushing Daisies goes on in the fall, it had its first season last fall and was really cute!.!.!. I think the episodes are on www!.abc!.go!.comWww@Enter-QA@Com
