Question: If American Idol was a RADIO contest & we knew NOTHING about the contestants, who would win &be in the top 5!?
If we knew NOTHING and I mean nothing! like way they looked, age, where they were from, ethnic background, family background, and all we heard was them singing, I think American idol would be a VERY differant story!. Who do you think would be in the top 5(1=winner and so on)!? and be honest! dont say david cook just cuz ur a huge fan or archuleta cuz you think hes cute!. or jason cuz ur like me and love his eyes!.

I think DA and Syesha are tied for first!. I would listen their voices!.
I think David Cook is talented but I personally wouldn't buy his cd (just not the type of music I listen to but I think he is veryyy talented)

I also liked Alaina Whitaker I thought she had a nice voice!. But not a big fan base!.

This is exactly what I've been saying for a while now!.
Jason definitely would not have made it this far!. I love his acoustic music & his soft voice, but such charm can only take you so far unless you've got the beautiful face he has!.
I think Syesha would make it to the top 3 or 2, because she has a HUGE voice & range!. Her only fault is her personality, which listeners can't really judge on the radio!.
Had David Hernandez's past not been brought up during the season, I have no doubt that he would've made it to at least the top 6!. I really loved his voice & still can't get over how he was eliminated about 5 contestants before Kristy!. Ick!.
I hate to say it, but Ramiele also wouldn't have lasted long if no one knew what she looked like!. She has a really nice voice but was constantly picking songs that were too big for her!. & you can't blame voters for voting for her, the girl is CUTE!. As a musician, though, she still had a ways to go!.

Michael is probably interchangeable with either David Hernandez or Carly, but I'm sure a lot of people voted for him because he was so good-looking!. I REALLY liked his voice but it is similar to David Cook's, & voters would probably prefer David Cook's more rock-themed music over Michael's!.
I honestly couldn't tell you who would take the entire competition from that top 5!. I will tell you honestly, though, that I do not think David Archuleta would win!. I'm not just saying that because I am a David Cook fan, that is my genuine opinion!. I'm sure that if viewers didn't know his age, what he looked like, or what a sweet boy he is, he wouldn't be such a front-runner!. also, when you're not watching him perform on stage & all you have to go by is his voice, it might come out as a bit nasally!. I don't think he would make it past the top 3!. His style of ballads aren't too popular in today's music industry!. He is REALLY talented, but there's no doubt in my mind that he wouldn't take 1st place!. I know I'll get thumbs-downs for this, but that is what I really think!.
