One of the things we expect of all the American Idol contestants is a passion to win!. And after Brooke's tearful final performance, we can all see how important this victory is to the candidates who have made it this far!.
Or!.!.!. should I say!.!.!. how important it OUGHT to be!?

"I got 150 balloons yesterday delivered to the studio because people heard I was sick last week!. That's cool, but that's just weird!."
"I'll get around to practicing,"
"What happens happens!. I'll sing and if people like it, they like it!. And if they don't, they don't!. I'm kind of ready to go home!."
As a dedicated fan of one of the contestants who is TOUCHED by the gestures of the fans and WANTS to win, I found this information about Jason truly offensive!.

I don't see much in him!. I think he has a really beautiful voice, & I really love acoustic music, so I think I'd melt if he sang a Jack Johnson song!. But when it comes down to the final 4, Jason doesn't stand a chance!.
He doesn't have any range in his voice!. His voice isn't powerful, & his songs aren't memorable!. He lacks personality, & he just sits in a stool on stage!. He sings, but he doesn't PERFORM!. What annoys me the most about him, though, is his personality!. He acts like he could care less about this competition!. I know that's just who he is, a laid-back person, & you can't blame him for being true to himself!. But the LEAST he could do was pretend he cared at all about winning this title & show a little appreciation for where he is now!. A lot good singers/performers (Michael Johns, David Hernandez, Carly Smithson) were voted off to keep him on, & he's not doing his position in the top 4 any justice, if you ask me!.
David Cook has my votes, hands down!.

Wooow, Jason Castro has got to go! I don't even know why he was put in through the top 4, it's probably because of his uniqueness, but still, he's gotta go! He's not taking this competition seriously, I mean, c'mon!! It's the number 1 rated show in America and it's the best!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I find this to be a very offensive question, Bangarang!.
Jason Castro is a laidback, genuine guy who has deep roots in his Christian faith!. He knows that God's Will is what will be done and stressing and obsessing over a singing competition isn't going to change anything!.
He's cute and sweet and just because he isn't teary eyed every five seconds like Brooke was doesn't make him a bad person!.
His personality is just calm and relaxed!. The other contestants always say how much they love his easy going personality and his not stressing is a sign that he's confident with who he is and not even stardom like American Idol will change that!.
If I was on American Idol, even with all the glory and everything, I would want to go home too!. I'm sure he misses his family and friends and his old way of life, wouldn't you!?

That has been proven false, The idols aren't allowed to do interviews with anyone their press hasn't approved(nothing other then american idol or fox)!. None of the idols are until they are off the show!.

First of all, I'm not really sure whether to believe the report or not because I didn't know they could do interviews and this whole season has been plagued by scandals to sway the votes,and everything!. But if it is legit, I don't really know how to feel about it!. Like, it is sad to think that he could be taking the place of someone who really wants to be there and wants to win and would appreciate it a lot more if they did!. But at the same time, it doesn't necessarily mean that he isn't grateful to be there!. It could just be that he knows that he has really stiff competition (the Davids) and there's a good chance he won't win, so maybe he's trying not get his hopes up too high so he won't be too devasted if he doesn't!. Some people get so blinded by their will to win something that if they don't,they think it was all a waste and wish they never even tried, so it's good to know that Jason can at least enjoy the experience of being there at all,even if he doesn't win!. But it is still sad that some others who really wanted to win (like Brooke) maybe lost their chance for him!. I mean,really,I think Jason would actually be better off without the show because then he could just do his own Folk/Reggae music and not have to do an "American Idol" type CD and I'm sure he knows that!. But then again, David Cook would also obviously have a much better career as a Rock singer if he gets cut, which I'm sure he knows, but he still ups the ante every week and shows that he's in it to win it and keeps fighting for a prize that he may be better than!. So I kind of have mixed feelings about Jason!. But whether he really doesn't want to win or is just so convinced that he won't that he doesn't even try to, I'd hate to see him just give up either way!. I hope this week he can try to give the Davids a run for their money and show that he's still in the game,at least!. It's not over yet and even though it's predicted that it'll come down to the Davids, it's not written in stone!. If Jason could come back with another amazing performance like "Hallelujah" and show that he does care about the competion and he wants to win, there's still a chance that he could!. But even if he doesn't, it's nice, at least, to know that he'll still be just as happy in 3rd or 4th!.

I hated that Kimberly chick on America's Next Top Model this Cycle because the first show after they picked the Top 14, she quit because she didn't believe in expensive clothes,or something,after about 5 other girls lost their chance to make it!. I'm sure that any one of them would've taken her spot in a heartbeat, especially the one brunette who looked so heartbroken when her name wasn't called (that was so sad)!. I don't think it was really the same case with Jason,though!. Or at least I hope not!. But I'd still rather see the Davids in the Finale because at least you know that they both really want this and you never have to doubt either of them!.
