Which soap operas should I start watching?!
Question: Which soap operas should I start watching!?
Haven't watched them since I was a kid, we used to watch the CBS line up!. Whats good now!? Not limited to CBS!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

All the CBS soaps are good, but you may find the new hand held video style filming that GL is now using something to get used to!. On the plus side, they are shooting a lot outside and not in the usual fake looking sets all soaps seem to have for the most part!.
I would start with B& B since it's only 30 minutes ( or less)!. but it depends what you are into!. NYC style or LA style!.
I like the acting on ATWT generally!. B &B is nice to look at , but the acting is not always top notch across the board ( it's that way for all shows tho not just soaps!.!.!.) OLTL has got some good acting and storytelling!.!.!.!.
`every show has their good points, their great moments!.!.!. just watch the Daytime Emmys show and watch the reels of the nominated shows and nominees , maybe that will help w/your decision!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Eastenders - Getting very interesting now, it has all sorts of things happening at the moment
Coronation Street - Easy to get bored of
Hollyoaks - All about young attractive people
Casualty - Can be ok
ER - Quite good (ER stands for emergency room)
River City - Its ok but its a bit long!. Its 1hr!.
Emmerdale - Easy to get bored of
Those are what the average person, without a favourite soap would say!.

It all depends on what you are interested in!. I suggest you watch a couple of episodes of each soap and see what you fancy!.

None of the abc soaps were nominated for an Emmy!. OLTL was - but only one character!.
If you like teen pregnancy storyline and a bad cop, go with OLTL!.
If you like a couple where the woman thought her husband has been dead for 20 years and now he's alive and they're together and they have a son and an adopted daughter - that's AMC!.

If you were a CBS watcher!.!.it won't be hard to catch up with the characters on those shows!. I was a loyal CBS watcher for years and still try to catch ATWT, Y&R, and B&B when I'm not working!. But as an avid GH watcher!.!.!.I must try to lure you to General Hospital!! The storylines are superduper now and a couple of new characters are suppose to be introduced over the summer!! What can I tell you except CBS !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.young/restless,bold/beautiful!.!.!. the world turns!.!.!.!.!.CBS I can relate to they have a varitity of cast not all are rich, there's only one cast member sleeping with the entire cast and that's brook logan!. for me its cbs all day start with y&r followed by b&b, Atwt &gl love them and since I work nights I set my alarm to wake up in time for my soaps, lol then take a nap later so I wont miss anything, Im a soap addict lolWww@Enter-QA@Com
None- I started watching the ABC soaps in the 70's and I'm still hooked!. Seriously, though, I love One Life to Live and General Hospital- lots of great drama and plenty of comic relief to break it up!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
