Question: Does Big brother US prove Americans are stupid!?
Firstly, sorry!.!.!. I know not all americans are stupid!. I know I'm stereotyping but there's a reason for that stereotype and why other countries think Americans are dumb!.
So anyway just a light hearted question!.!.!. have any other Brits watched BB US!? I really can't get over how dumb they all are!. Bitching about ppl and telling lies etc when they do exactly the same thing!. I know contestants on UK BB aren't exactly geniuses but the difference is, most brits can admit that!.!.!. they don't pretend and fool themselves that they're cleverer than they are!. Again, I know I'm generalising!.

No!. One telly show can't prove that, and I think we all know that intelligent (American) TV executives are sitting there, rubbing their hands together, saying "boy these people are dumb and objectionable - let's put them on the TV to get the ratings up!.!.!." And up go the ratings!
I think the proportion of "stupid" people are about the same in most western countries!.
However, Americans tend to have a less versatile vocabulary!. I've met plenty of backwards chavs that have quite an array of verbal weaponry, and I've also met bright Americans with a masters degree who can't string a sentence together!. It gives the impression that Americans are imbeciles, but despite the importance of communication, communication isn't everything!.
I've met genuinely gifted architects, who are profoundly dyslexic!.
America seems violent but the aforementioned chavs might stab you for your jacket, even though they have a great job, whereas the criminal in the US is more likely unemployed and quite desperate!. Neither is acceptable, but it's much more "stupid" to value your desire for "that guy's jacket" over a human life, than it is to shoot someone because you're destitute and can't survive without your victim's cash!.

There is no doubt that American society is one of the more "sacred" (as opposed to secular) countries, and we have examples like the taliban to show how bad that can be!.
Nevertheless America is also a very young impressionable country, and yet it is still inarguably less religiously violent than, say, the crusades from England or the Spanish inquisition

I think it was a far better version than ours!
Firstly the public have nothing to do with the voting and we both know that the British public voting on BB is an absolute farce!
I'd say our housemates are far bitchier than the USA version, AND they have no real reason to do so!
At least in the USA version they are lying, back stabbing, playing games all in the name of the game, what's our excuse pure nastiness!?
Anyway I personally hope that the producers of the UK version have taken some tips and stop the public having anything to do with the elimination process!. :-)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Okay honestly, it's a game, and they're supposed to do that to get the money! Obviously when money is a factor in these situations there will be backstabbing, lying, and people being hypocrites! DUH! I would do that too if I were trying to get $500,000! They wouldn't act like they do in the show in real life, that's why it's a reality/game show!.!.!. It's called entertainment! Just enjoy it! PRetty much the only REAL and NON scripted reality show there is out there!

I expect they want to be celebs and in the US to be a celeb you have to be stupid, but have enough other idiots to buy the rubbish you're selling!. All you have to do is sell a boring magazine interview every week to a magazine, and others are brainwahed and gullible enough to think any old person in a celeb magazine is great!. If they're on the BB show then they will get the magazine interviews!. They don't need any brains or talent!. As long as the magazine industry have enough people to want to buy the rubbish they will make money, then they will bring out a whole line of rubbish other things to make more money!. Then the people who have spent all their money on the rubbish will think they're great because they have lots of money!.
