David A is extremely over-rated! The breaths he takes between verses are so annoying, and he always sings ballads because he can't sing any other way!. Further, the minute his "serious performance face" goes away, he is back to being a grinning goober who can barely string a sentence together!. This is going to be our American IDOL folks!? His father wants it more than he does---this kid can't handle the pressure!. Maybe in ten years time he will be ready for this type of career, but not now---he is SUCH a goober! He acts much younger than 17!. He was awful tonight---absolutely awful!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think he's a great singer but his voice gets a bit nasally & boring after you listen to him sing virtually the same songs week after week!. "Sweet Caroline" & "America" are NOT ballads, but David Archuleta's arrangement were were indeed very close to being ballads!. So he still haven't proven to me that he can be versatile when it comes to genres!.
Don't get me wrong, I think he should be in the finale!. It's just that David Cook has so much more talent than him in every aspect of musicality, to be honest!. His second performance tonight was AMAZING, I'd like to see David Archuleta sing 4 notes in the third octave one after another!

Actually, he didn't really get raves tonight, at least not from Simon,anyway!. Simon called his "Sweet Caroline" performance "amateurish" and said that his "America" performance was "clever", as in it's playing up to the American public who will decide whether or not he stays another week,or wins,or whatever (Simon made the same comment about Kristy Lee after she sang "Proud To Be An American")!. So Simon pretty much called him a "Karoke singing butt kisser" :p!. I don't think he was as bad as Simon seemed to think, but he wasn't really as good as Randy and Paula seemed to think he was either, though!. He was just okay tonight!. He's definitely had better weeks!. But he still did better than Brooke's first performance and both of Jason's!. And I still think he's one of the strongest competitors and deserves to be in the Finale with David Cook, though I would like to see Cook win!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Boy, I thought I was the only one who thinks that Archuletta is overrated! I thought he was fine back at the beginning, but week after week he seems to sing the same type of song!. I also don't think he has any personality, never says anything and has the same painted on smile!. It somewhat blows my mind why Simon thinks he is so great all the time!? Because the judges have already prepared their critiques BEFORE the live show!. They judge them during the dress rehearsals!. Simon admitted this last year on the Ellen Show, and Paula proved it tonight by criticizing Jason's second song before he sang it!. This is why we hear them rave about someone who is obviously off key during the live show!. If they did a great job during the rehearsal, we hear the judges' reactions to that!.!.!.not what we see live!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I agree The ones Not Named David will go one by one, First Jason Tomorrow, Next Week Syesha, The Week after that Brooke, But if its a Popularity Contest I say David Archuleta will have a Better chance then anyone to stay in the Competition!.
