I'm in my late 20s and for some reason I watch Hollyoaks regular!. Its aimed at teens and it is so unrealistic!.!.!.!.! and stupid sometimes!. Like when Tina, got that job interview with the school in the careers service and then she asserted herself obnoxiously at the interview "I can do this job!" and she got the job!. But she had nothing to support her application, how stupid!. I enjoy the storyline with Ste, Amy and Leah, that is realistic and unfortunately well known in the real worldWww@Enter-QA@Com

I watch it, but only for the talent (cute guys) and the fact its mind numbin, good to wind down to after work!. I'm 25!. but all soaps are unrealistic at times! I mean!.!.!.!.why do they bother getting married in soaps!? they never work!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Its so unrealistic that you watch it for that reason!. If it was boring, you wouldn't tune in!. But watching half brothers & sisters hook up, people marrying their husbands murderer and people thinking their dad has been abducted by aliens makes you want to watch it! Not to mention pretending your baby has lukeamia, hiding drug addictions and new affairs every week!.!.!.
What else is there to watch on a weeknight!.!.!.!?!

Its so unrealistic that you watch it for that reason!. If it was boring, you wouldn't tune in!. But watching half brothers & sisters hook up, people marrying their husbands murderer and people thinking their dad has been abducted by aliens makes you want to watch it! Not to mention pretending your baby has lukeamia, hiding drug addictions and new affairs every week!.!.!.

i think hollyoaks overdoes the OTT storylines
at one time there is
a brother and sister sleeping together, a teen couple pretending their child has leukemia, a girl sleeping with her friends dad, and a murder!
but i love it

I agree, it tends to have a lot of true-to life storylines!.
Especially the Beth/Reece storyline -this happens a lot to reunited relatives!. my partner 9regrettably) had a very similar relationship with his half sister who he'd never met!. Though, thankfully, she got counselling (and didn't get killed)Www@Enter-QA@Com
